Working Trucks Shine at Shell Rotella® SuperRigs® as Kenny Ziglar II Claims Best of Show
More than $25,000 in cash and prizes awarded as drivers showcased their craftsmanship, pride and personality at Bristol Motor Speedway
Kenny Ziglar II of Rawlins, Wyo., captured Best of Show honors for the second consecutive year with his 2007 Peterbilt 379, nicknamed “Scrapin By,” at the 44th Annual Shell Rotella® SuperRigs® competition held June 25-27 at Bristol Motor Speedway in Bristol, Tenn. He was awarded $10,000 from Shell Rotella. In addition, the truck won second place in the Best Lights category.
The Shell Rotella SuperRigs competition is the premier truck beauty contest for actively working trucks. Owner-operators from across the United States and Canada compete for more than $25,000 in cash and prizes. All winners also received MyMilesMatter reward miles from the Shell Rotella loyalty program. Twelve drivers were selected to have their trucks featured in the 2027 Shell Rotella SuperRigs calendar.
Additional SuperRigs Winners
David Calabrese won Best of Show, first runner-up, and $4,000 from Shell Rotella for his 2022 Peterbilt. He also won the Best Engine and Best Interior awards. Jeffrey Dills was awarded Best of Show, second runner-up and $2,000 from Shell Rotella for his 2007 Peterbilt.
Additional first-place winners included:
- Kaleb Hammett in the Tractor/Trailer Division and for Best Chrome with his 2015 Peterbilt.
- Brad Harminson in the Tractor Division with a 2020 Peterbilt.
- Cody Warner took the honors in Specialized Working Truck with his 2022 Peterbilt.
- John T Barker III won the Classic Division with his 1997 Peterbilt.
- Kilian Flanary captured the Steve Sturgess Award with his 1992 BMY.
- Jeremy Houghtailing won Best Theme with his 2024 Kenworth
- Joshua Teel won the Best Lights award with a 2001 Peterbilt.
- Ronnie Millsaps, with his 1969 Peterbilt, won the Best Show Truck award.
People’s Choice Award
Justin Speece won the People’s Choice Award for his 2003 Peterbilt. The winner was selected virtually, with voting taking place online. For every People’s Choice vote cast this year, Shell Rotella proudly donated $10 to the St. Christopher Truckers Relief Fund.
